Exploring Drew
Welcome to Drew!
We hope as you explore our website you gain a real appreciation for Drew's vibrant learning community. This is a school that values your unique talents, skills, and interests and provides an exceptional environment for you to stretch yourself, connect, learn, and grow. This is what high school should be.
The opportunity to guide families through the admissions process and highlight the transformational experience and outstanding education at Drew is a distinct honor. We know and believe in teenagers, and we harness that knowledge to challenge you to fulfill your individual potential and become the best version of yourself. We talk a lot about finding your voice and making an impact here at Drew -- and we believe that process truly begins with the admissions journey.
We are looking forward to partnering with you every step of the way!

Interview Options at Drew
This year Drew is offering three ways to complete your student interview. Interviews allow the admissions team and committee to get to know who you are as a person and learner. Please keep in mind that your candidacy for Drew will not be advantaged or disadvantaged based on which option you select. We believe these are all great options to get to know you and we can’t wait!
Please fill out the following short form, so we know which interview option you are interested in. Once we receive your completed form, someone will follow up with more information about your interview choice. Below are the interview options. If you choose not to interview, it will not affect your chances of acceptance. Please keep in mind that you can submit the video interview in addition to one of the other interview options if you wish. Please reach out if you have any other questions.
Warmly,
The Admissions Team
Option 1: 5-minute one-way video interview.
One-way video interviews allow you to record yourself answering questions in your own time using a device of your choice: phone, tablet, laptop, etc for up to 5 minutes. We will provide you with a list of prompts/questions for you to answer as if you were on Drew’s campus sitting down with one of us. This should not be scripted, produced with music and/or graphics, and should not be perfect! We simply want to get to know the real you.
Using this link, upload your 5-minute videos to Dropbox and the admissions team will add your submission to Ravenna. You can also submit a video interview in addition to one of the other interview options. Here is a list of questions to help guide your video
Option 2: 20 minute 1:1 Zoom interview with a member of the Drew community.
1:1 interviews are conducted via Zoom. There is no need to prepare anything in advance. We want to get to know you and will do our best to do so using a series of questions. These 1:1 interviews are meant to be more like conversations. Please note that this option will require you to participate with your camera and microphone on.
We will reach out to you with more details and how to sign up.
Option 3: 20-minute experiential group interview on January 10, 2021 1:00-1:30pm
The experiential group interview led by our Director of Experiential Education, Dr. David Fitzgerald, will allow us to get to know you in multiple ways through observation as you navigate a challenge or task with a small group of your peers. The purpose of this experience is not to see who is able to outperform the other or to demonstrate mastery but instead to see how you interact, collaborate, problem-solve, and learn. There is no need to prepare anything in advance. Please note that this option will require you to participate with your camera and microphone on.
Please sign up for this interview option through Ravenna. A zoom link and instructions will be provided before the event.
Recent Updates
Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), all in-person visits and admissions events will be conducted virtually for the 2020-2021 admissions cycle. We’ve redesigned our admissions process to provide you with an abundance of virtual offerings to discover Drew safely from a distance. To receive the latest announcements and event registration information please make sure to inquire via Ravenna.
Please note that Drew will not consider standardized tests such as the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT as a part of our applicant review process for the 2020-2021 admissions season. Read more about this decision here. If you wish to submit any supplemental materials other than test scores that would you feel would help us understand you better as an applicant please submit those materials by email.
